85 Children from the neighboring slum, Kibagare, are schooled with 80 Tumshangilieni children. Tum’s school runs from baby class up to Standard 8. The children take the Kenyan Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) exam after completing primary school.
Periodic in-house training seminars continue to raise the standards of the school. At present there are 45 children attending Secondary Boarding and Day Schools. On successful completion of Secondary School, the children have the opportunity to continue with vocational training or to attend University.
6 Children are presently attending University. 26 Children are attending college and vocational training. 46 Children have completed college, university and vocational training.
Home/guardian visits are regularly carried out and assessed. Guardian/child meetings are regularly held.
